Liz’s passion and training style is a perfect fit for all skill levels ranging from first-time beginners to collegiate athletes. Athletes very quickly become family and receive the support they need in volleyball, tryouts, and more.

Coaching Staff

Liz Pedro

Head Coach/Owner/Safe Sport Certified

Liz Pedro has 24 years of volleyball experience and 19 years coaching experience.

She began her volleyball career at Brockton High School and moved on to play as a starting setter at Framingham State University, where she holds the 2nd place spot for both digs (1,511) and assists (1,725) in the 1,000 Point Club. During college, Liz played competitively in Yankee Volleyball and continued to do so for the next 10 years. In 2011, Liz moved to Chicago, Illinois where she received a master’s degree in education and transitioned to beach volleyball. She returned to Massachusetts a few years later and continued her indoor playing career for two seasons as a DS and setter in the Professional Volleyball League (PVL) for team New England.

On the beach scene, Liz competed in women’s open Volley America beach volleyball tournaments. In the 2016 and 2017 seasons she was ranked 4th overall and improved to 3rd place in 2018. As a sponsored athlete, she traveled to compete in tournaments around the country including several AVP events in New York and Chicago.  Liz continues to play competitively at the open level.

In addition to her teaching career and her own volleyball playing experience, Liz was the assistant volleyball coach at Stonehill College from 2017-2021. She has also facilitated both the Skills and Drills and Elite programs at Mass Premier Courts in Foxboro, MA and has coached for various Juniors Clubs both in Massachusetts and Illinois. Liz has worked at UNH camp, Cape Cod Volleyball Camp, MPC Camp, and Joust summer camp and has been responsible for coaching players from age 5 through adult at various skill levels. Liz is currently coaching for Lockdown Volleyball Club.

Liz’s strengths as a coach include teaching proper technique in all skill areas, understanding and executing advanced strategies, and creating a fun, positive learning environment. She is also an advocate for mental and physical health and believes that athletes who have a healthy psyche and proper nutrition can have an advantage over their opponents, therefore she works with her athletes on stress management, visualization strategies, mental toughness, strength training and conditioning, and proper nutrition.

Teaching and volleyball are clearly Liz’s passion. She is always looking for ways to improve her knowledge of the game and coaching technique, so she frequently attends coaching clinics, researches, and works with other volleyball coaches. As a teacher and coach she has had the opportunity to inspire and push students to heights they could not see for themselves. She enjoys helping clients achieve and surpass whatever goals they have set for themselves!

Post college she focused even more on her beach skills and with the help of an amazing partner, she was able to be one of the top players in N.E. for Women’s AA in 2019.

She loves coaching volleyball because of the passion she has for the game, indoor as well as outdoor, and she loves seeing that same passion grow in the athletes that she coaches. She tries to find creative ways to keep drills challenging and fun because at the end of the day the most important part of playing is to always be learning and having fun.

Get Started

How It Works

During the first lesson, the coach will guide the athlete through each of the volleyball skills and assess strengths, areas of growth, and goals. If the athlete is taking multiple lessons, the coaches will develop an individualized plan tailored to the athlete and their current abilities and goals. If the athlete is looking for a single private lesson to get back into the sport or get an extra workout before a tryout, that’s fine too! We welcome anyone with a good attitude and a love for volleyball!

During small group lessons, the coach will introduce new skills each week and continue to build on what was previously taught. Small group classes have a maximum of 10 athletes with either one or two coaches. These small group sizes allow athletes to get significant feedback and repetitions, while being in a team environment and being more cost-effective.

Beach teams and tournaments are offered during the summer months. There are no tryouts for teams, but there is a maximum of 10 players allowed at each practice, so an early sign-up is recommended! Tournaments are held at various locations and provide an opportunity for athletes to demonstrate what they’ve learned in a competitive setting. These tournaments are also opportunities for athletes to learn about fueling and hydrating their bodies appropriately.
